If done correctly you can burn as many calories walking as you can running. Good walking technique can also lead to and assist with good running technique whether you are just starting out or already a well established runner. Whats better, power walking is easier on your joints and much less likely to cause an injury than many other aerobic sports. We can also make the walk more or less challenging so that within the group you create a level of challenge that suits you and start to build on your fitness.
